Culture Kaleidoscopes

Introduction
Presentation format
Content

Each involved culture or tribal nation will have a reserved "channel", a space for their individual on-line profile: a "Culture Kaleidoscope". This profile features different key aspects pertaining to their culture. This includes interviews, multimedia resources, activities, current news, travel links and much more. Each group's Culture Kaleidoscope will be a joint effort of traditional elders, indigenous youth, supportive organizations (NGOs), freelance writers, photographers, journalists, online volunteers and artists. Our central office supports all activities, oversees the website, adds teachers' tools, and connects to learning environments and teaching media.

The involvement of a large number of contributing NGOs and learning groups automatically supports wide promotion within civil society and learning environments.

Presentation format

Imagine a virtual reality exhibition room, a 3D-space filled with a contextual arrangement of culture pertaining symbols, buildings, environment, people, media and interactive features in which students can move about and explore individually or as a group. This is what we call a Kaleidoscope-LearnScape, with visual context, cohesion, interactive elements and strong linkages to real life.

Content

The Kaleidoscopes integrate a large variety of seen and unseen aspects of culture. Not all need to be covered, and others can be included.
